Thanks to many generous donations, LifeBeat was able to raise enough support to purchase a mobile pregnancy clinic as an extension to Crossroads Women’s Clinic.
The mobile unit, Hope, allows the Crossroads’ staff to expand their services to girls and women facing unplanned pregnancies and meet them in a whole new way.
Why Mobile?
As abortion has become illegal in Tennessee, many women are contemplating travel to a state where they can undergo the procedure legally. Crossroads’ mobile unit allows the organization to expand their reach from their facility in Tiptonville, TN, to different locations in Lake and Obion Counties by traveling directly to the women in need. Just like the clinic, the mobile unit offers free pregnancy tests, 3D and 4D ultrasounds, and referrals to local doctors.
In addition, their presence in well-trafficked areas of those communities allows them to intercept more abortion-vulnerable women and minister to them more easily. Just as the clinic’s and mobile unit’s names denote, they exist to provide hope to women at a crossroads and be a vehicle in a life-changing decision that will impact families in a positive way, generation upon generation.
